Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Development and Fundraising Expert to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in securing the necessary funds to fulfill our mission and expand our activities aimed at combating human trafficking. This role involves identifying funding opportunities, developing compelling project proposals, as well as presentations and information materials to present to partners and potential donors.
Key Responsibilities
- Fundraising Strategy Development: Design and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, in view of fulfilling Dignita’s mission, and in line with our annual goals.
- Proposal Writing: Develop and submit high-quality project proposals to international and national donors, ensuring alignment between Dignita’s goals and priorities and donor requirements.
- Project Development: Collaborate with program teams to design impactful projects that address the root causes and effects of human trafficking, implementing a rights based approach, and ensuring that projects are both innovative and sustainable.
- Ongoing Research: Conduct ongoing research to identify new funding opportunities and trends within the anti-trafficking and human rights sectors.
- Donor Engagement: Develop promotional and informational materials to support the Dignita leadership in cultivating and maintaining relationships with existing and potential donors.
- Capacity Building: Provide training and support to internal teams on fundraising best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Development, Human Rights, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in project development and fundraising, within the human rights or anti-trafficking sectors.
- Skills:
- Strong track record in securing funding from diverse sources, including EU programmes, national donors, and corporate partners.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and project proposals.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to align project goals with donor priorities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Language: Proficiency in both Bulgarian and English is a requirement;
